Title of Research:
Collaborative Systems Thinking: An exploration of the mechanisms enabling team systems thinking
Advisor/Committee:
Prof. Deborah Nightingale (Committee Chair); Dr. Donna H. Rhodes (Thesis Advisor); Prof. Annalisa Weigel (Committee Member)
Degree Candidate:
Ph.D., Aeronautics and Astronautics, 2009
Research Interest:
Exploring and better understanding to contexts in which teams engage in systems thinking. The aerospace industry (along with many other fields) is anticipating large numbers of its ranks to retire in the next 5-10 years. Unless we can determine how to leverage systems thinking at the team level, we stand to loose a large fraction of our systems knowledge with these retirees.
Other Degrees:
S.B. and S.M., Aeronautics and Astronautics (MIT ’03 and ’05 respectively)
