Terry Bryan has more than 40 years of experience in government and the aerospace industry. As a Raytheon Six Sigma expert and, in prior years, LAI stakeholder co-director, Terry was the architect and lead change agent for the highly successful deployment of lean methodologies throughout the Air Force Material Command’s (AFMC) Lean Now program. Terry conceived and developed the processes that allowed the transformation methodologies of Lean, Six Sigma, Theory of Constraints, and other tools to be deployed throughout major programs and commands within the AFMC. As part of the Lean Now deployment, Terry also managed and directed development of training for the government teams in the form of a one-day workshop and a 40-hour facilitator’s course.

Enterprise-level engagements included programs such as F-16 (inactive contract closeout), F-22 (Combined Test Force), Global Hawk (Alpha contracting), Arnold Engineering Develop Center (Turbine Engine test), and EC-130 (depot and program transformation to lean). He also conceived and led large-scale enterprise transformations including the C-17 Aircraft Program and enterprise transformations at both the Ogden and Oklahoma City Air Logistics Centers.

Terry’s career has included a diverse mix of positions, including:

  • Raytheon director/programs manager for various missile and DoD programs
  • Systems engineering expertise in radar, IR, and aircraft systems
  • Significant government customer experience
  • Aviation safety officer/aircraft accident investigator
  • Experimental test pilot – glider, helicopter, piston, jet, and rocket aircraft
