Jayakanth “JK” Srinivasan's research is in the areas of enterprise architecting, enterprise information systems, and lean software focuses on enabling knowledge-intensive organizations to achieve sustainable enterprise transformation.

Prior to joining MIT, JK worked in the public sector on avionics systems and in the private sector writing networking software. JK’s educational background includes an undergraduate degree in computer engineering and graduate degrees in avionics and aeronautics and astronautics. His ongoing doctoral work on architecting lean software organizations addresses the intersection of people, processes, and technology within organizations involved in the design, development, and sustainment of software-intensive systems.
