LAI Transition Announcement
The MIT Lean Advancement Initiative (LAI) will transition over the next several months from a membership-based consortium to a global resource on enterprise excellence. Since 1993, LAI has managed a highly successful consortium of industry, government, and academic partners supported by a member fee structure and governed by an Executive Board of member representatives.
As of January 1, 2013, LAI will no longer have a consortium structure or Executive Board but will continue to serve as a unique source for innovative ideas, research, collaborative transformation projects, and thought leadership.
Our plan for a successful transition includes:
- Maintaining the LAI web site as a rich public resource of information, products, and tools.
- Making LAI enterprise transformation and architecting courses available via MIT Professional Education and the LAI Educational Network.
- Continuing to publish leading-edge work in the Journal of Enterprise Transformation.
- Completing all currently funded sponsored research activities during 2012.
- Developing new sponsored research projects with collaborating partners in government and industry.
LAI remains committed to promoting enterprise excellence through teaching, publishing, supporting student research, and applying LAI methods and tools to complex organizations.
LAI encourages future sponsored research through the MIT Sociotechnical Systems Research Center (SSRC). Please address questions to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. .
