Communities Overview

LAI is a consortium of industry, government, and academic organizations sharing best practices and learning from MIT and one another as they work to transform their enterprises.

This collaboration happens in part through communities of practice within the larger LAI infrastructure. Some are broad-based, formal communities with their own charters and missions, such as the LAI Champions Network and LAI's Educational Network (EdNet).

Other LAI communities of practice are smaller working groups focused on a specialized area of enterprise transformation and include Lean Enterprise Product Development, Metrics, and Supplier Networks. The Supplier Networks community is the oldest group within LAI and remains an active and vital conduit for the latest thinking and practices within the supplier community.
