Research Assistants
LAI works with several graduate students and visiting scholars each year to support and further its research activities. Students come to LAI from all parts of the MIT campus (and the world) and represent several MIT degree programs. These programs include Leaders for Manufacturing and Sloan Fellows, as well as candidates for advanced engineering, business administration, and several technology degrees.
The LAI consortium is rewarded with supplemental resources and invigorated with a constant influx of new ideas sparked by student exposure to MIT's rich educational environment and from visits to LAI member and sponsor facilities. LAI members have access to first-rate research and the opportunity interact with the next generation of enterprise transformation leaders. LAI student researchers present an undeniable win-win situation for everyone involved in the LAI consortium.
"Student involvement in front-line research is a cornerstone of the MIT experience. They leave here well trained and prepared for future employment, perhaps with one of our sponsors," notes LAI Co-Director Prof. Debbie Nightingale. "They are our future."
