LAI Structure
The LAI consortium is made up of organizational members from the government, industry, and academia.
Every LAI member organization appoints an individual to serve on LAI's executive board, which meets twice per year.
LAI research is conducted both at MIT and at a variety of member sites. The LAI team is led by two co-directors and an executive director. The LAI research team leads research projects supported by graduate student research assistants.
LAI's international Educational Network (EdNet), a consortium of more than 65 educational institutions in several countries, translates LAI research products and tools and member best practices into lean curricula. EdNet is managed by a director and an associate director.
LAI maintains associations with other MIT programs and centers and external organizations around the world that significantly leverage LAI resources. LAI shares research findings, products, and tools with the consortium through knowledge exchange events, workshops, team meetings, and communities of practice meetings.
